Basic Homemade Mayo

Easy Mayo recipe with Immersion Blender

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup avocado oil 
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey (I don't measure I just add a couple spoonfuls)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
Equipment:
  • 1 wide mouth pint mason jar
  • immersion blender
Instructions:
  1. Crack egg into mason jar
  2. Add avocado oil, lemon juice, honey, salt. 
  3. Let egg settle to bottom of jar
  4. Place immersion blender in jar so it touches bottom. Pulse on high several times until emulsion starts.
  5. Slowly start to lift blender towards top while blending on high.  
  6. Continue blending until complete emulsion takes place. 
  7. Store in fridge in Mason jar with tight lid for about 2 weeks
